What this procedure is and who it is for
This procedure declares the start of a holiday home activity so it can be entered in the General Tourist Register.[1]
It is aimed at citizens and companies, and must be initiated by the interested party.[1]
It is not published in the European Single Digital Gateway.[1]
When and how to apply online
Processing is fully electronic (Level 4). Submission is online and available all year. You, as the applicant, start the procedure.[1]

Documents you must provide
Provide the responsible declaration, proof of representation (where applicable), and a detailed activity report.[1]

Special notes for El Hierro, La Gomera and La Palma
Starting the tourist activity on these islands is subject to prior communication to the respective island cabildo.[2]
For holiday homes, implementation follows sectoral rules without restriction by land classification; on rustic land, conditions in article 20 and the principle of single management apply.[2]
Planning instruments may not set quantitative limits on number of places, roll-out rates, minimum distances, or impose/exclude modalities.[2]
A 2017 Order amended Annex 2 of the Regulation: section 3 does not apply as minimum content for responsible declarations to start holiday home activity on these islands.[3]
After you submit
The Tourism Planning Service processes and resolves the procedure.[1]
Resolution is immediate. If you started the procedure, administrative silence has no effects.[1]
No appeal is admitted against the resolution.[1]
